The aim of the project is to make available, in a reasonable period of time, all the information in each of the parish registers of the ancient county of Cheshire. This aim covers information in both the original Parish Register and the Bishop's Transcript.

Cheshire Births, Marriages and Deaths on the Internet. Recently updated. Records of over 5,000,000 births, marriages and deaths. Although the indexes are not yet complete for all years and districts, the database will eventually cover all Cheshire births, marriages and deaths from 1837.

Cheshire and Chester Wills Database. The index covers the years 1492 - 1940 and contains 130,000 entries. It covers probate documents proved at Chester mainly for Cheshire residents.

England, Cheshire, Register of Electors 1842-1900. This collection contains a list of those who are eligible to vote in local and county elections.

Visitation of Cheshire, 1580

The Visitation of Cheshire, 1580 (World Vital Records - subscription required) : The visitation of Cheshire in the year 1580, made by Robert Glover, Somerset herald, for William Flower, Norroy king of arms, with numerous additions and continuations, including those from The visitation of Cheshire made in the year 1566, by the same herald. With an appendix, containing The visitation of a part of Cheshire in the year 1533, made by William Fellows, Lancaster herald, for Thomas Benolte, Clarenceux king of arms. And a fragment of the visitation of the city of Chester in the year 1591, made by Thomas Chaloner, deputy to the Office of arms.
